This website

• No cookies are set by this site.
• No analytics or tracking of any kind — we do not measure or profile visitors.
• No third-party requests. Every file loads from this site. No fonts, scripts, tag managers, or embedded widgets are fetched from anyone else, so no other company learns that you visited.
• No advertising and no data sold, shared, or traded — ever, to anyone.

Our web host will keep standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, as part of operating any website. Links to outside sites — such as canada.ca or our GoFundMe page — are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies once you click through.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive what you choose to send: your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you tell us about your situation. We use it for one purpose — helping you — and for nothing else.

• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.
• We do not contact the Canada Revenue Agency on your behalf without your clear authorisation.
• We keep what you send only as long as it is useful to helping you, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
• You can ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.

AI and your information

This organisation uses AI tools to keep its running costs near zero, so that help can stay free. Two commitments hold regardless of what any tool is used for:

• Your information is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with third parties.
• Your information is never used to train AI models — not ours, and not anyone else’s.

At present this website collects nothing at all: there is no form, no upload, and no account. The only information we hold is what you choose to put in an email to us. If that ever changes — for example if we add a secure way to send documents — we will publish exactly how that works, and ask for your explicit consent before you send anything.

The standard we will meet before we accept any document

We are not there yet, and we will not build it quietly. These are the five rules any such system must satisfy before it accepts a single file from you. We are publishing them now, while nothing exists, so that the standard is fixed in public before it can be quietly bent later.

• Nothing you send will ever train an AI. Any AI tool we use will run on a business account whose terms forbid it, so your words and your documents cannot be absorbed into a public model — or pulled back out of one by somebody else.
• Your name comes off before anything is analysed. Your social insurance number, full name, phone number, and street address are stripped out first. What gets looked at is the situation — the restriction, the diagnosis, the income figure — not the person it belongs to.
• Your files are locked, in storage and in transit. Encrypted to the AES-256 standard, the same one the banks use, both while sitting on a server and while crossing the internet.
• Only a named person may look, and every look is recorded. Anyone with access signs in with two-factor authentication and works inside a logged dashboard. Nobody copies your file onto a personal laptop, a phone, or a memory stick.
• You are asked first, in plain words. Nothing is processed until you have read what will happen to your information and agreed to it. Consent is a decision you make, not a box buried in a wall of text.

If we cannot meet all five, we will not take documents at all — we will keep doing this the slower way, by email and conversation. A promise we cannot keep would be worse than a service we do not offer.
